Plot Outline:
The Baudelaire siblings are likable and clever. 14-year old Violet is a young inventor, her 12-year-old brother Klaus reads and researches, while their baby sister Sunny has sharper teeth than most beavers. After their parents perish in a terrible fire, the Baudelaires are placed in the care of Count Olaf, a man of demented evil genius. Aided by a troupe of theatrical misfits, he hatches one outrageous plot after another to get his hands on the orphans' vast inheritance. The Baudelaires will have to stick together and use every ounce of courage and ingenuity at their disposal if they are to stop Count Olaf.
